Choosing the Right Ultrasound Machine

I’ve been evaluating different ultrasound machines for reproductive evaluations and the variety can be overwhelming. I currently use a portable model that offers decent imaging, but I’m considering upgrading to something with more features for better follicle assessment and embryo evaluation. What are your experiences with specific brands or models that really stood out for equine reproduction?

I’ve had great success with the GE Versana Active for equine reproduction. It’s user-friendly and the imaging quality is outstanding, which makes it easier to assess follicles. Just make sure you consider your specific workflow and whether portability is a must for you — having something that’s easy to transport can be a game-changer in the field. Have you thought about that?

And i’ve been using the Fujifilm SonoSite for equine work, and it’s been fantastic for quick, clear assessments. The weight and portability really make a difference in the field — > easy to transport can be a game-changer for sure! Have you had a chance to try out any specific models yet?

For reproductive evaluations, I’d highly recommend the Mindray M7. It offers excellent imaging quality with advanced features that really help with follicle assessment. I’ve found it effective for quick decisions in the field, especially when time is tight.
